The Cannabis Institute offers SAQA accredited, NQF aligned skills programs for future occupations and trades in the new Cannabis sector as it evolves with government legislation and global trends.
The Cannabis Institute has used global trends that have identified competencies that are universal and appropriate for all health care workers and has used the guidelines as the basis for its certificate outcomes.


Our strategic partner, Sage Skills Development, is a Level 1 B-BBEE company with a vision of being the market leader in playing our transformational role in South Africa. Sage has Full Accreditation Status with merSETA (Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Training Authority).
The management team of Sage with their experience of at least 20 years in the field of Education, Training & Skills Development, combined with the dynamic members of The Cannabis Institute’s Executive team, set the foundation for our combined knowledge and expertise in Quality Management Systems and Compliance requirements in the implementation of Skills Development intervention project, specifically learnerships.
NQF (The National Qualifications Framework) aligned and SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) accredited, with full merSETA accreditation. The Cannabis Institute courses are also certified by the CRI (Cannabis Research Institute of South Africa)
